About · Our approach

We start from the audience, not from a model speaker.

International presentations fail less on grammar than on mismatched expectations. Our method closes that gap.

International colleagues listening in a meeting

Our conviction

Decorrelate from the Anglo-American template

Much of what is taught about presenting in English reflects British and North American cultures. Exaggerated body language, local humour and sports references suit some rooms and alienate others.

Speakers from Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, Asia or South America often feel out of step with that advice, because its values are not theirs. Our approach keeps professional English as the common language and takes the decision logic from your audience.

The method

Three layers, handled in the right order

  1. The common interface

Professional English and shared business standards give a clear backbone: structure, signposting, time.

  2. The audience layer

We adapt the quantity, order and tone of information to what your listeners need to decide. We use the Lewis Model as a first map.

  3. Your own layer

We prepare you for the clichés and prejudice your origin can trigger, and we add a few positive signals on purpose.

Our programme

Five moves, from audience to follow-up

  • Read your audience. Their listening habits, needs for information and relationship.
  • Prepare your English. Phrases that signal intentions, transitions and conclusions.
  • Prepare the intercultural exchange. What each audience must hear, and when.
  • Prepare yourself. Stress, energy and personal efficiency.
  • Deliver. Opening, delivery, Q&A, conclusion and follow-up.

The key technique

Explicit signposting

You say clearly what you intend, why, how you will proceed and where you are in the talk. Listeners from any culture can follow, and you recover quickly if stress makes you lose the thread.

Signposting is carried by simple English: connectors, transitions and short framing phrases that we build into your own presentation.
